Acer p. Kiyohime
A dwarf variety which suits the broom style well. Being basally dominant, they are apically vulnerable; the crown is prone to collapse if lower, outer leaves are left unchecked. This cultivar needs to be regularly pruned, to reduce the density of branches and leaves, to allow light into the center of the tree, and to create the desired shape.
